Happy Easter

Well, I'm finally getting around to updating the blog. We took lots of photos this month, so hopefully over the next few days, I'll get them all posted. The first batch is from Easter - there are pics from Jacob's Easter Egg hunt at school, and then our photos from Easter Sunday.

Jacob had a great time at his school Easter egg hunt - and an even better time when he came home to open up all of his eggs. Luckily, by the following day, he forgot about all the candy - so he didn't eat too much of it! We had a quiet Easter Sunday this year with a nice church service in our brand new building, and then a family lunch.

Spring Break!

Jacob's school was closed for Spring Break, so his Mimi and Dad-dad had a great excuse to come to College Station to visit during the week. On Wednesday, they got to babysit for most of the day while Jeff and I were at work. That afternoon, I snapped a few photos of them playing in the backyard. Dad-dad was helping Jacob learn to play t-ball while Mimi was in the outfield.

Then they all had fun chasing bubbles!

The following day, we all went down to Houston to the Aquarium and to visit some of the Lane family.

Then on Friday, we all went to the park and had a great time playing!

Then we all went out to dinner for an early celebration for Mimi's birthday in downtown Bryan. Jacob had fun with the statues...

Jacob ended the night with a LOT of bedtime stories from Mimi. It was a really fun Spring Break for all of us!

Daddy went to New Orleans!

The first week of March, Jeff went to New Orleans for a conference for work. He was gone from Friday - Thursday, so Jacob and I had lots of one on one time. On Friday night, we went out to dinner with all the friends, and Jacob was quite a handful. I wasn't sure if I would survive the week!!! On Saturday, we went to The Children's Museum with some friends, then out to lunch. That evening my mom came in to keep us some company while Jeff was gone. We had dinner with some friends and Jacob learned to play the harmonica (kind of). Then, on Sunday - we took my mom to The Bounce so she could experience the total chaos of tons of children running around and bouncing and playing on huge slides. Here are some photos:

My mom stayed with us until Tuesday, and she and Jacob had lots of fun working puzzles, playing connect the dots, reading books, and playing in the playroom. She forgot her camera, so there weren't any photos - but I did snap this one on Sunday night. He decided all by himself that he needed to be Leo from Little Einsteins. So, he found his shirt from Halloween and his glasses and baton.

Jacob and I rested Tuesday and Wednesday evening after a busy weekend! Jeff got home safely from New Orleans late Thursday evening after driving all day. His flight was cancelled due to snow in Dallas!!! Snow in Dallas in March?!?! Jacob and Nana and I had a fun week, but we were really glad to have Daddy back home safe!
