Labor Day Weekend in West Texas

In September, we finally were able to make a trip to visit Jeff's family - since I started a new job last year, I didn't have any vacation until the 1 year mark. We were glad to get up there to visit the family - especially Jacob and Addison's great grandparents!

Mimi spent lots of time entertaining Jacob - They played basketball, a ball shooting game in the backyard, and read lots of I Spy books!

Dad-Dad spent time with Addie and had the treat of getting her to sleep for most of her naps while we were there!

We got to have a nice visit with Nana and Grandad and took plenty of photos!

Jacob was entertaining everyone as always!

After visiting with Tamara and Jerrod, we got to see Lesley and her little boy (about 2 months younger than Addison), and then Scott and Jenny and the kids came to visit too. What a fun weekend of seeing cousins and family!

I posted some good Jacob quotes the other day and couldn't leave out the little girl's new game!



She has started this new thing of pulling my baseball cap down so she can't see my eyes and then I say "where's Addison?" and she peaks under my hat and smiles really big. It's a child led version of peek a boo - SO CUTE!!!

She is pulling up all the time (in fact, she does not enjoy sitting or crawling!) - she is still full of smiles and has just started eating more finger foods. She like being in charge of her eating, but she forgets to chew sometimes and gags herself!

She is just such a joy (pun intended). My sweet little snuggle bug!

At the end of August, we visited Ft. Worth and got to spend some time at the aquarium downtown with Nana and Papa and Tamara and Jerrod
