Christmas - Pharis

Here are some photos from Christmas with my Mom and Dad. We had a fun time watching Jacob open everyone's gifts! Jacob had a blast and loved what Santa brought - he was very into Christmas this year - he helped with the tree, the stockings, wanted to see Christmas lights all the time, baked cookies, etc. Addison wasn't quite as excited, but she did stay awake to see everyone open presents!

Jacob cannot get enough of his baby sister. It is so adorable to watch him with her! I still have to remind him to be gentle, but for the most part, he is really great with her. He always wants to be next to her, and the first thing every morning - he says - where is my baby? He likes to play with her and hold her and just lie down with her. I'm so happy that they have each other - what a blessing we have all been given with our new little Christmas miracle!

Addie's second week at home

Our second week home was a little rough b/c Jacob got sick with a really high fever - ear infection and cough. Jeff and I did our best to keep the kids apart once he was sick - Addison and I stayed in the back bedroom for 3 days while Jeff and Jacob were in the rest of the house. I somehow still caught Jacob's virus, and Addison also has a stuffy nose and a little cough now. Things are a little harder with 2 kids! We still managed to get some photos for you...

Jacob loves reading "What to Expect the First Year" - or "the baby book" as he calls it. He keeps telling us he needs to check on something for the baby...

Addison Joy Lane was born at 9:47am on 12/2/08 weighing 7lbs 3oz and 20 inches long.

Our last photo as a family of 3 - about 2 hours before my induction at midnight on 12/1/08.

Jacob was very excited to hear his new sister was here - he couldn't wait to get to the hospital to meet her!
