Addie's second week at home

Our second week home was a little rough b/c Jacob got sick with a really high fever - ear infection and cough. Jeff and I did our best to keep the kids apart once he was sick - Addison and I stayed in the back bedroom for 3 days while Jeff and Jacob were in the rest of the house. I somehow still caught Jacob's virus, and Addison also has a stuffy nose and a little cough now. Things are a little harder with 2 kids! We still managed to get some photos for you...

Jacob is pretending to be a baby on Addison's playmat

Addison is already starting to focus on objects - this lady bug was one of Jacob's favorites too.

Jacob loves reading "What to Expect the First Year" - or "the baby book" as he calls it. He keeps telling us he needs to check on something for the baby...

There is a lot of sleeping being done by our newest addition

Here's one where she actually looked at the camera.

I just think this one is pretty darn cute!

You can almost see her sleepy smile here.

And more sleeping - I think she's trying to tune us out-especially big brother!

Now my boys are sleeping too!

Can you believe how often I have her wearing pink? I'm starting to like the girly stuff!

And baby makes 4!!!

Addison Joy Lane was born at 9:47am on 12/2/08 weighing 7lbs 3oz and 20 inches long.

Our last photo as a family of 3 - about 2 hours before my induction at midnight on 12/1/08.

Baby Addison is a few hours old in this photo.

Jacob was very excited to hear his new sister was here - he couldn't wait to get to the hospital to meet her!

Our new family!

The proud grandparents...

Look at that sweet face!

The kids' rooms

Well, we've finished the nursery - we are really happy with how it turned out and now we just need a little girl to rock and it will be complete. I've included pictures of how Jacob's room has transformed into a big boy room too!

Soccer

Jacob finished his first season of youth soccer - he may play again in the spring, but he is trying to decide between soccer and swimming lessons. He was very excited to get his very first trophy at soccer!

Sibling Class

Jacob took a sibling class at the hospital where Addison will be delivered (same hospital where Jacob was born). He had a great time and got to learn how to make the bed go up and down, what a brand new baby looks like, and how to hold a feed a new baby. He was such a big boy - we know he will make a great big brother!

The nurse that Jacob is talking to helped take care of him in the special nursery when he was born - pretty neat!

Halloween 2008

This year, Jacob was really excited about Halloween! He picked out his costume early - at first he wanted to be Wall-E, but no one had a Wall-E costume anywhere. We found one online, but it was $50 - so we opted not to do that! We went shopping one afternoon and he saw a Scooby Doo costume he wanted (he LOVES Scooby Doo!) - it was adorable, but too small for him. So, we walked up and down the aisle some more and he spotted a SpiderMan costume with muscles and all - he was hooked! So, for a month he's been talking about being SpiderMan and trick or treating and candy! We went with some friends and he had a great time dressing up... here are a few photos...
